Official versus Private game servers-Maplestory vs OdinMS

This 2d scroll mmorpg , it’s one of those games that feels like playing old school games . it’s  lovely backgrounds and characters , made it one of the gamer’s elections for spending a good time . in other words , this online game doesn’t need an introduction time since it’s been in the mmo market for years . even when it started as a strong mmorpg , after many years of not having a private server , one suddenly  appeared . at the time everyone was excited for the first maplestory private server , I might say(Mortal Online Gold) it had a bit of hype among it’s forums . since the high exp and drop rates .you  could also get cash shop items from all the monsters aswell , what it was even more appealing to all maplestory veterans and fans .
Even though , it was a big achievement  for the Odin staff to be called the first maplestory private server ever made ( since it was true )  , their happiness didn’t last as long as they thought . as for , when nexon ( the company which is hosting it ) knew about them  . they didn’t think it twice and  started to threaten the Odin staff with a legal action against them if they didn’t close down their illegal server . after this , they didn’t have any other choice so they just shut their servers down . unluckily  , many private servers started to come out after this . weird thing since odinms was threaten with a millionaire legal action as I already said . I bet It’d be impossible for nexon to stop all the private maplestory servers  today , since there millions of them which are still(cheap Mortal gold) using the same installer as odinms did .

Even when it seems a bit weird , this game has the biggest population in comparision with other mmorpgs , maybe tons of gamers like the side scrolling games ?.
