A caster can fly intot he air and attack someone safely but a melee person must waste time on their timer flying towards the person . So do distance closers that melee have work well flying ? It seems that being Melee is a big disadvantage when a big selling point is flying combat in Aion . A caster can fly intot he air and attack someone safely but a melee person must waste time on their timer flying towards the person . So do distance closers that melee have work well flying ?
The melee can kill Rangers(cheap aion gold) because they don't have to stop. If caster just purely runs then forget them, they are no longer a threat so go back to the battle. No matter what if they stop for a second to cast melee will be on them in a heartbeat.
Ranged do have more of an advantage because they can cast at the ground. But melee can't unless they are just hovering over group, unless they throw their sword at them .
The Abyss doesn't give you unlimited flight time. However it does give you massive amounts of Aether , Which powers Daevas(aion kina) and their wings , and if you fly through the rings placed around the Abyss you have buffed flight time. Also flight buffs at 25+ and potions for flying are very common and most of them aren't that expensive.
